Mission Statement

MISSION To support the College's philosophy and the fulfillment of its vision, the faculty and staff of Hawaii Business College are dedicated to the following mission: 1. To provide educational programs and services to assist individuals in their academic and personal development, so they will be ready to enter the work force as qualified and competent entry or intermediate-level employees. 2. To prepare students to conceptualize abstract information and articulate ideas with thoughtfulness and depth through liberal arts courses and to combine these courses with advanced study in career-oriented programs. To this end, competency in English language communication and computer skills is basic. 3. To produce graduates who possess a well developed sense of ethical integrity and creative initiative, and who are motivated toward productive service. In recognition of the systemic nature of all business and social communities, our graduates will be given the skills to clearly demonstrate their ability to think cooperatively and interdependently. They will gain an orientation toward effective, long-term problem solving, carrying with them the seeds of greater and more complex problem solving abilities. 4. To be responsive to the needs of students and the business and medical communities by designing innovative and effective curricula, which emphasize applied, practical, and experiential learning for increased service and productivity.
