Debbie Benami-Rahm, President of DBR Career Services, explores what not to say at the end of an interview. Don’t forget that at this point in the proceedings, it’s all about the company and not about you!

  • At this stage, it’s all about the company, so don’t focus any inquiries about your needs, compensation, benefits and the like…it’s too early
  • Don’t approach salary at this point…you haven’t even been made a job offer yet
  • This does not get discussed in the first level interview
  • Similarly, don’t ask about time off, vacation days, working from home…the telecommuting policy…all of these inquiries are about what’s good for you and are inappropriate
