The Information Technology/Web Design major prepares students to enter the field of web and computer graphic design. Students learn how to develop professional computer graphics for business solutions. Students study Internet basics, web page design, computer 2D/3D graphic and game design, multimedia design and computer programming. Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are developed through training.The importance of good communication and teamwork skills is emphasized throughout the program. Specific program objectives are: -- Graduates will be able to create well-designed, user-friendly, interactive media. -- Graduates will be able to demonstrate solid graphic design concepts that may be applied in a number of applications, including but not limited to web site creation. -- Graduates will be able to demonstrate collegiate level competency in reading, oral and written communication skills and proficiency in mathematics
