The objective of the Business Administration - Office Management program and Business Administration - Office Management is to prepare students with the knowledge, technical skills, and work habits required for entry-level positions in an office setting. This A.A.S. degree program offers the versatility of accounting, management, and computer courses necessary for today's executive office. Graduates of this program have a background versatile enough to qualify them for entry and advancement in positions of responsibility and trust in such fields as banking, insurance, retailing, manufacturing, communications, and government. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be awarded an Associate of Applied Science degree. Duties for graduates of this program may include maintenance of office responsibilities such as filing, knowledge of the accounting cycle, time management principles, and organization; preparation and distribution of office communication such as letters, memos, and reports; and selection and use of appropriate computer software for the office environment. Business Administration - Office Management assists executives in handling the administrative functions of the office and participates as a member of an executive team.
