he objective of the Criminal Justice program is to prepare students with the knowledge, the skills and the work habits required for entry-level positions in a variety of positions in the criminal justice field. This Associate degree offers a level of education that provides students with a solid foundation in criminal justice, and the skills of various specialized employment areas such as law enforcement, corrections and private security. Graduates of this program have a background versatile enough to qualify them for entry-level and advancement in positions of responsibility and trust, in such fields as police or sheriff's departments; other law enforcement offices, jails or prisons as detention or correctional officers; probation/parole; corporate security; public safety; or in private detection or investigation. Academy training may be required for some positions.
