Medical Assistant - Associate Degree at Career College of Northern Nevada
The Medical Assistant degree program is designed to provide the students the knowledge and clinical skills for gaining entry-level employment in a medical facility in both administrative and clinical areas. Specific training is provided in preparing instruments and materials, and assisting the physician with exams and procedures. Computer skills, accounting and fundamentals of business operations will be developed to an advanced level. The student will be able to function independently with administrative duties, and computer functions of the office. Training is provided for such occupations that include, but are not limited to Medical Assistant, Lab Technician, Medical Insurance Coder, Phlebotomist and Medical Secretary.
