The Medical Assisting Management curriculum provides the business and medical skills and background necessary to pursue positions of responsibility in the medical field. This professional performs administrative and clinical duties and may manage emergency situations, facilities and personnel. Graduation is acknowledged by awarding an Associate in Specialized Business degree upon satisfactory completion of the program. The Medical Assisting Management program provides the student not only with the broad range of medical administrative and clinical courses that will enable them to perform medical assistant duties such as medical transcription, vital signs and routine laboratory and diagnostic tests, but also with an extensive knowledge of communciations, principles of management, personnel management, medical coding, and insurance management.
