Massage Therapy has a broad number of medical applications including relaxation, stress reduction, health promotion, pain management, and injury recovery. Graduates of this degree program learn theory and practical massage therapy application. They will be able to perform Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Therapy, Trigger Point Therapy, and other techniques. Students will be able to communicate the correct medical language for insurance billing. They will have the knowledge to take the National Certification Exam from the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB).
