Our Medical Assistant program can prepare you with the knowledge, technical skills and work habits required for entry-level positions as Medical Assistants. We focus on computer technology and word processing facets of the curriculum to enhance your potential for quick placement. Prior to graduation, you are required to complete a 160-hour externship program at a local clinic, physician?s office, hospital, HMO (Health Maintenance Organization) or other allied health facility where you may also find job opportunities after you finished. Students will have the opportunity to administer injections, take vital signs, perform venipuncture, assist in minor surgical procedures, perform basic accounting procedures and learn fundamentals of charting and documentation.
