Patient Care Assistant/Technician - Diploma Program at Texas Careers
The objective of the Patient Care Assistant Technician program is to provide the student with the knowledge, the skills, and the work habits required for entry-level employment. The program includes unit clerk and data entry, rehabilitation courses, mental health concepts, outpatient, and acute and long-term patient basic care skills. Graduates of the Patient Care Assistant Technician program may qualify for employment in private practice offices, clinics, hospitals, group homes, Med/Psych units, rehabilitation centers or patients? homes. They may work with outpatients and inpatients that have a variety of disease, injury, neurological or orthopedic problems.
