The field of pharmacy technology can provide our graduates with stimulating work and positive growth potential in hospitals, clinics, skilled nursing facilities, retail pharmacies and insurance companies. Pharmacy Technicians assist the Pharmacist in processing prescription orders, maintaining inventories, patient profiles, prepackaging of medications, drug compounding, intravenous preparations and various other facets of an active and progressive pharmacy. Our students will have the opportunity to practice the skills they learned in class during their externship in the final weeks of their training. As our graduates enter the pharmacology field, they become a vital part of the fascinating world of health care professionals. The objective of the Pharmacy Technician program is to prepare students with the knowledge, technical skills, and work habits required for entry-level positions in the pharmacy field. A diploma will be awarded upon successful completion of the program. Graduates will be eligible to take the Certified Pharmacy Technician examination. Our students will have the opportunity to practice the skills they learned in class during their externship.
