The objective of the Dental Assistant program is to prepare students with the knowledge, the technical skills and the work habits required for entry-level positions in the dental field. This program includes instruction in both the clinical (chairside) and administrative aspects of dental assisting. Graduates may become Registered Dental Assistants by passing the Registered Dental Assistant Examination. Students are eligible to sit for the State Board of Radiology Exam. Although the program is designed to prepare students to take various certification or license exams, the School cannot guarantee the student will pass those exams. In some cases, field experience may be necessary to be eligible to take or to successfully pass the exams.
