The program provides theoretical and clinical experiences in nursing and incorporates knowledge from the related disciplines. These experiences will be facilitated by the acquisition of knowledge, skills and attitudes in every nursing course. The goal of the program is to prepare graduates for entry-level positions where they will provide quality healthcare services in diverse settings and function as providers of care, managers of care, and members within the discipline. Students completing the program will earn a certificate and be eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensing Examination for Practical Nurse (NCLEX-PN). Credential Awarded: Graduates of the Nursing program receive a certificate of achievement. Employment opportunities: Employment opportunities include positions in long-term care, assisted living, home health care, ambulatory health clinics, and hospitals.
