College Profile: Oregon Institute of Technology - Online School

At Oregon Institute of Technology, we understand that working professionals like you are busy and anxious to advance your education as quickly and conveniently as possible. That's why we offer a growing number of degree completion programs through online delivery.

Distance education lets you finish your certificate, associate or bachelor's degree without leaving your home or office and without the hassles of travel, childcare or giving up your current job. Distance education courses at OIT are taught through the Internet, allowing you to receive and submit assignments and interact with your instructors and classmates through your personal computer. Most of your "class" time will be spent reading and responding within the online "classroom" environment through focused discussions and email.

Distance education classes are generally taught so you don't even have to be at your computer at a given time. Your instructors will provide a structured learning experience with deadlines to help you keep on track, but will offer you a range of time in which to complete your assignments. Classes run about ten weeks in length, followed by a final exam period.
