For 150 years, the mission of St. Francis has been to provide an affordable, quality education to working class people who otherwise may not be able to attend college. Hundreds of successful graduates were the first in their family to attend college. Merit based scholarships that can include full tuition for graduating high school students with a 1200 on their SAT’s are the cornerstone of the College’s financial aid program. Additional partial scholarships for students with SAT scores ranging from 970 to 1050, as well as $3,000 and $5,000 academic achievement grants are also part of the generous aid packages.

St. Francis College is a private, independent co-educational college that welcomes students from all walks of life, providing a superior liberal arts education at an affordable price. The St. Francis student benefits from small classes taught by professors who are committed to provide an education in an atmosphere of support and friendship. By integrating liberal arts and pre-professional programs, the College promotes the development of the whole person. Both the Franciscan heritage and the Catholic tradition establish a cornerstone of academic excellence, social responsibility, and mutual respect throughout the entire College community.

At St. Francis College your education is limited only by what you can dream. The College offers 72 programs and majors from a five year combined Bachelor's and Master's Program in Accounting, to Sports Management to Communication Arts to Education and many, many more.

Our core curriculum grounds you in a solid liberal arts foundation and leaves you free to pursue a number of comprehensive programs that are as deep as they are varied. It's not uncommon to see a St. Francis College student working towards a double major at the school. It might have something to do with the personal attention they get in small classes taught only by professors. You will never have a class taught by a teaching assistant.

St. Francis College expects all students to not just take classes and go home. They can join more than 40 clubs of varying interests, fraternities and sororities as well as honor societies. Students should become a vibrant part of the community, learning about social responsibility, and mutual respect. These are the ingredients that allow St. Francis students to achieve their dreams.

There's a reason St. Francis College has been recognized by U.S.News & World Report as one of the top Baccalaureate Colleges in the North and ranked in the Top 5 of New York City schools by Forbes.com. We are dedicated to helping you achieve all your goals and making sure you benefit by attending our Small College of Big Dreams.
