Beckfield College has provided business and career education for Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana residents since 1984. Beckfield College is focused on, and dedicated to, a personalized teaching and learning environment designed to support the personal and professional career development of quality students.

Beckfield College offers a number of degree programs to fit student's goals: Bachelor's Degree, Associate Degree, Diploma, and Certificates are available. Beckfield College’s Paralegal Studies programs are approved by the American Bar Association (ABA). This distinction highlights the College as the only post-secondary school in Northern Kentucky with ABA approved paralegal programs. As of May 2012, Beckfield College is now one of only three institutions with ABA approved paralegal programs in Greater Cincinnati.

Mission Statement

Beckfield College is a professional college committing to promoting the relationship between the world of education and the world of professional enterprise. The College offers higher education through baccalaureate and associate degree programs, as well as technical training through its career-focused diploma and certificate programs. Management Information Systems (Associate Degree)
The Associate of Science in Management Information Systems is designed to provide a student with the basic skills necessary to obtain entry-level employment as a Help Desk Specialist, management trainee, or other position in the Computer Information Systems industry. The student will have an understanding of basic information system infrastructure, security and information storage and retrieval systems.
Medical Assisting (Associate Degree)
The Medical Assisting program is designed to prepare students in administrative and clinical procedures. Administrative duties may include: handling patient accounts and records, word processing, schedule, coordinate, and monitor appointments. Clinical duties may involve applying principles of aseptic technique and infection control. Record vital signs, collect and process specimens, prepare and administer medications and immunizations.
Paralegal Studies (Associate Degree)
The objective of this program is to provide students with the training, and technical knowledge necessary for entry-level employment as paralegals. Graduates will be able to communicate their findings and opinions effectively, both orally and in writing, and will be able to perform manual and computerized case research. They will effectively apply legal terminology, as well as perform investigative skills necessary to assist in the drafting of such documents as contracts, mortgages, separation agreements, trust instruments, tax returns, shareholder agreements, stock option plans and employee benefit plans. Graduates will understand the paralegal?s place in the legal community, and will understand as well that, except as permitted by law, paralegals do not provide legal services directly to the public.

Graduates will be able to carry out paralegal responsibilities reliably and to communicate their findings and opinions effectively, both orally and in writing. In addition to courses focusing upon specific areas of law, the program provides coursework in legal research, legal writing, evidence, alternative dispute resolution, interviewing, ethics, management, and current topics in law. Courses in management, communication, reasoning, and social sciences complement the legal emphasis. Graduates will understand the paralegal?s role in the legal community and further understand that, except as permitted by law, paralegals do not provide legal services directly to the public.

Practical Nursing (Diploma Program)
The Practical Nurse Diploma Program is a 15-month curriculum consisting of classroom, skills laboratory, and clinical experiences. The program is designed to prepare graduates to be members of the nursing profession and novice practitioners with a focus on long-term care. Clinical experiences and skills laboratory classes accompany each nursing lecture course to give the student hands-on learning in a safe environment. Testing is done on computer to prepare the student for licensure testing.
