LAORT's mission is to meet the educational and vocational needs of our diverse students in the shortest time possible in a supportive caring environment and to provide the technical skills and knowledge necessary for employment and career advancement.
LAORT's success is measured by meeting or exceeding student, employer and community expectations, and is shown by continued referrals and recommendations, employment of our students, and pride in the accomplishments of ORT within the community and it's pool of volunteers.
ORT, the Organization for Educational Resources and Technological Training, a non-profit organization, operates a worldwide network of over 800 schools and training centers with an enrollment of more than 200,000 students in 60 countries. For over a century ORT has sought to bring economic self-sufficiency to World Community. To date, over two million people from many nations have participated in ORT programs. ORT operates Los Angeles ORT Technical Institute and two other technical institutes in the United States including Bramson ORT Technical Institute, a two-year college in New York City and Zarem/Golde ORT Technical Institute in Chicago, Illinois.
Los Angeles ORT Technical Institute, affiliated with ORT Operations USA, is a Technical Vocational Facility dedicated to providing affordable technology based education and English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction to the community.
Our Computer and Medical Technology Programs and ESL Programs are designed to provide graduates with the training they need to secure jobs when they graduate. Employment Preparation courses are included in each program to ensure that our graduates are given the skills required to perform successfully in job interviews.
