We excel at quality, personable, instruction at affordable prices. Classes are offered during the day, evening, and weekends – there’s sure to be a class that fits your schedule!
Today MAE offers over 25 career/technical program certificates through the Business Training Center, Technology Education Center, Optical Dispensing Program, Peace Officer Standards Training, and several Healthcare training programs. In addition to career/technical programs, MAE offers state-approved courses in English as a Second Language, Adult High School Diploma, GED/Independent Study, Older Adults, Adults with Disabilities, Parent Education, Health and Safety, and Home Economics. MAE also serves as the Local Area Education (LEA) for several apprenticeship programs. Together, these programs provide instructional services to over 16,000 students a year.
Classes are open to all adults. Residents of other districts are welcome. There are no additional tuition fees for out-of-district students. In accordance with Title 9, all classes are open to men and women on an equal basis. Classes are designed for students age 18 and over. Martinez Adult Education (MAE) classes are open to anyone without regard to race, color, religion, ancestry, sex, national origin, physical handicap, political affiliation or belief.
Martinez Adult Education (MAE) is located about 35 miles northeast of San Francisco in the northern part of the Bay Area. Our school is part of the Martinez Unified School District. The school is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
