The New Community Workforce Development Center is a state-of-the-art, $4.5 million continuing education facility and New Jersey's premier One Stop Center. Opened in 1999, the three-story, 25,000 square foot center on Bergen Street in Newark's Central Ward is the result of a unique partnership between New Community, foundations, financial institutions and government agencies.

It offers a highly qualified staff, education and training courses, support services, career information, financial aid and job placement assistance. All Workforce Development programs provide graduates with marketable skills in fields where there is high demand and ample opportunity for professional growth.

The Workforce Development Center is committed to student success both in the classroom and in the workplace. Its approach to education is career-focused. At Workforce Development, students choose from occupational programs developed in response to labor market research. They learn in the classroom and receive hands-on experience through practical experience and internships.
