Aviation Technology (Diploma Program)
The Aviation Technology diploma program focuses on developing the basic skills to become a licensed commercial pilot, with competencies in basic aviation science, principles of flight, flight instrumentation, and multi-engine flying in an IFR environment. The object of this program is to train students to fly multi-engine commercial airplanes, and to pass Federal Aviation Administration examinations. Graduates of the program will qualify for entry-level positions as a co-pilot in a regional airline. Graduates must pass FAA national licensure examinations, submit required documents to the FAA, and be able to pass a FAA physical examination. This program is consistent with the College?s mission to develop basic skills for entry level positions, and to build the professional skills and behaviors required for successful commercial pilots. Students may select a flight from our distribution list of approved, participating flight schools. Approved flight schools must meet the requirements specified under Federal Aviation Regulation Part 141 and/or FAR Part 61 and meet minimum insurance maintenance and licensing requirements specified by the College- Please see the registry for a list of approved, participating flight schools.
Basic X-Ray Machine Operator (Diploma Program)
This program provides students with skills and training necessary to begin working as an X-ray machine operator. Candidates for this course of study will receive training in basic anatomy, use of medical X-ray equipment, general patient care, and proper techniques to effectively position patients who are in need of medical x-ray services.
Dental Assisting (Diploma Program)
The Dental Assisting diploma program trains the student to develop the skills necessary to work in a dental office, dental center or clinic. This program uses a combination of classroom theory, laboratory practice and clinical experience to provide training in dental office and patient management, basic dental laboratory procedures, dental and general anatomy, dental terminology, nutrition, dental instrument and equipment utilization, microbiology, dental pharmacology and anesthesia, chairside assisting and expanded functions, dental office emergencies/CPR, dental radiography, maintenance and asepsis of dental operatory and instrumentation, dental specialty procedures, employability skills, leadership and human relations skills, ethics and jurisprudice, dental materials and preventive dentistry. This program includes the following occupational completion endpoints: basic healthcare worker, dental receptionist, and dental assistant.
Medical Assisting (Associate Degree)
The Associate of Science degree program in Medical Assisting provides students with an academic program that leads to employment as an entry-level Medical Assistant with basic skills in both the administrative and clinical components of an ambulatory health care facility. Graduates of this program should also have the skills necessary to function as phlebotomists, ECG technicians, hospital ward clerks, insurance coders, hospital admissions assistants, and chiropractic assistants. Graduates of the program are eligible to become Registered Medical Assistants, and are eligible to take other certification tests in areas such as phlebotomy, EKG, medical billing and coding.
Medical Clinical Lab Assistant (Diploma Program)
The Medical Clinical Lab Assistant diploma program is designed to prepare graduates for positions as entry-level medical assistants in a physician?s office or clinic, with training in both clinical and administrative duties. This program focuses on teaching students, through a combination of classroom, laboratory and clinical experiences, the skills necessary to assist physicians in both the administrative and clinical areas. Instruction includes administrative and clinical duties, emergency procedures including CPR and first aid, safety and security procedures, medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, administrative skills, insurance processing, medical lab and exam skills, veni-puncture, EKG, urinalysis, microbiology, injections, CPR and first aid. The program structure includes multiple occupational completion points including medical office receptionist, Phlebotomist, EKG Aide and Medical Assisting. The Pre-requisite for this program is a high school diploma.
Nurse Assistant (Certificate Program)
The Nursing Assistant Diploma program provides an intensive course of study in patient care techniques for the nurse assistant. The objective of this program is to prepare graduates for entry-level positions as nursing assistants in nursing homes and to prepare graduates for the State of Florida nursing assistant certification examination. This course is offered in a program that includes a 40-hour clinical externship in a local nursing facility. Graduates must pass a licensure examination to practice in the State of Florida.
Phlebotomy Tech (Certificate Program)
The Phlebotomy Technician Diploma program is designed to prepare students for employment as phlebotomists. The content of this program includes communication and interpersonal skills, legal and ethical responsibilities, health-illness concepts, medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, blood sampling and collection techniques, sharps safety procedures, medical waste disposal procedures, and employability skills.
Therapeutic Massage (Associate Degree)
The Associate of Science in Therapeutic Massage program focuses on developing basic skills in therapeutic massage with a foundation in the structure and function of the human body. Each student will obtain competencies in, massage theory and practice, knowledge of Florida statutes and rules for therapeutic massage professionals, CPR, and HIV-AIDS awareness, ethics and hydrotherapy and related therapies. Students will obtain practical hands-on training coupled with the benefits of earning an Associate?s degree. Students also learn professional and personal success skills.

The objective of this program is to train students to perform therapeutic massage and to prepare students to take the National Certification Examination to become a licensed massage therapist. Graduates of the program will qualify for entry-level positions as a massage therapist. Graduates must pass a national licensure examination, submit required documents to the Florida Board of Massage, and receive a license from the Florida Board of Massage Therapy to practice in the State of Florida.
