Benchmark Human Services, a national leader committed to providing quality services to individuals with disabilities, is hiring! We are actively seeking applicants for a variety of positions to serve in our Connecticut locations.
Assist with operational functions of Benchmark early intervention program.
Provide direct behavioral interventions to children supported by the agency.
Support the growth of trans-disciplinary skills for all supervised staff members.
Provides direct services with a billable caseload assigned. Must be willing to flex schedule according to the child’s/family needs.
Comply with all Federal and State regulations, including those outlined in the Connecticut Birth to Three Program Regulations.
Conduct evaluations and assessments of the child.
Participate in the IFSP development and implementation.
Monitor child outcomes as a member of the team.
Provide early intervention supports to families for the benefit of the child.
Assess behavior health needs, develop and implement appropriate plan of interventions, assess and modify plan in response to changing behavioral health needs of the child.
Develop system for collecting objective data regarding the skills and needs of the child as it relates to their IFSP.
Ensure that interventionists receive the support, training and work time necessary to fulfill the requirements of their positions.
Train, supervise and mentor designated staff.
Maintain consistent communication with team members. Interact with other support staff and administration to ensure continuity and coordination of the IFSP.
Participate in monthly team meetings.
Develop trainings for staff based on team’s suggestions.
Participate in Birth to Three sponsored trainings, meetings and learning opportunities as appropriate.
Assist with reviewing IFSP and related documents as requested and works with each individual team member on the child’s IFSP.
Recommend policies and procedures on behavioral support/intervention/planning as new methods become available and pertain to the child’s IFSP.
Actively participate in early intervention related committees/workgroups.
Facilitate staff growth and development to ensure best practice.
Participates in State trainings as appropriate.
Comply with all standards to assure the health and safety of all staff and children/families we serve.
Reports to work as scheduled.
Other duties as assigned.
Valid Connecticut driver’s license.
Doctorate or Master Degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analyst
Licensed by the Department of Public Health as a behavior analyst (section 1905(a) (6) which includes certification as a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) by the Behavioral Analyst Certification Board (BACB) (section 1905(a) (13) (C).
Five years experience working with infants and toddlers.
Knowledgeable about best practices for service delivery in early intervention.
Demonstrates a commitment to Natural Learning Environment Practices.
