Job Description

Position Summary:

In this role you will be responsible to perform engineering analysis, development and implementation of testing cases at Component (ECU), System (Vehicle) and Hardware In the Loop (RT Simulator) levels to verify compliance of our designs against requirements, regulations and standards of the next generation of commercial vehicles.

Essential Functions:

  • Internal and External costumer’s Requirement Analysis (e.g. PTC Integrity)
  • Development of functional test cases (ECU and System Level)
  • Hardware In the Loop modeling (e.g. dSPACE, Matlab and Simulink)
  • Thorough documentation on problem solving, tear down analysis and testing plans
  • Supporting Vehicle Level Testing
  • Sensor integration to ABS/ESP/TCM functional models (e.g ADAS, Radar, FRL)
  • Integrating hardware/software Design Level test benches (e.g. Real Time modeling)
  • Collaboration with global application and design teams (mainly US and Germany)

 

Required Skills

Required Skills

Knowledge:

  • EE or Computer Science engineering degrees: Electronics, Controls, Mechatronics & Mechanics.
  • Programming skillset (Embedded & Matlab preferred)
  • Electronics and electrical circuit analysis.
  • ECU development lifecycle experience (preferred)
  • Experience following best practices on Component (ECU) or System Level (Vehicle) testing Lifecycle(s).
  • Ability to apply control system concepts and theory to real world application.
  • Basic instrumentation knowledge is necessary (oscilloscope, DMM and wiring).
  • Nice to have: Pneumatic circuits and mechanical engineering exposure
  • Previous experience with HIL (dSPACE or NI) is a plus
  •  

Skills:

  • Self-starter capable of working independently but well engaged to remote and local teams.
  • Team-work oriented.
  • Diligent on communicating findings, issues and technical concepts to others.
  • Hands-on multidisciplinary problem solving (EE, Software, Pneumatic, etc).
  • Openness to learn and share knowledge in rapid pace.
Required Experience

Experience: 

  • 2-5 years’ working experience (preferred).
  • Willing to consider less than 2 years of experience if education and classroom experiences match well with job essential functions.
  • Internship or Co-Op experience in automotive or similar related field.

 

Education:

  • Engineering Bachelor’s degree (Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer Science or Mechanical Engineering)
  • Studies focused on control systems preferred. Master’s degree a plus
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
