WANTED: An experienced Engineering Professional with demonstrated leadership capabilities who will perform the full spectrum of Facilities Engineering duties and requires an advanced understanding of Engineering principles. This position is located at the NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC).

A week in the life of a Facilities Functional Area Lead:
Provide technical and organizational leadership and expertise to the Facilities Support Task Order in supporting all NASA AFRC facilities objectives.
Guides and mentors Contractor team members to follow established procedures, e.g., NPR, DCP, and other NASA and AFRC management system documents and project milestones.
Manages workflow, and leads the team in identifying, distributing, and balancing workload among Contractor team members.
Implement emerging proven technologies, e.g., 6 Guiding Principles, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Design/Build project delivery method, Arc Flash Modeling, hydraulic modeling, energy modeling, and thermography.
Represents the Contractor's quality assurance position to the customer including clarifying findings and recommendations.
Ensure Contractor completes required forms and checklists, then submits to the customer for approval/disapproval.
Ensure all status reporting to the customer and company is accurate and timely.
Supervise Contractor personnel including Engineers, Technicians and Specialists.

Must be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or licensed registered architect
Minimum 10 years demonstrable industry and supervisory experience
Relevant facilities management and design experience
Thorough knowledge of quantitative and qualitative methods and techniques to develop support deliverable criteria and metrics covering complex program mission and function
Knowledge and skill in program assessment techniques related to resource allocation, risk management, performance metrics and project execution
Exercise exceptional communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills, poise, and demeanor
