What we are looking for…..


We currently have a full-time Slitter position open on our 3rd shift.  As a key member of the Converting department, this position will be responsible to set up and run a slitter machine in the Finishing Department. Safety and quality are our passion and commitment to our clients!

What you’ll be doing…


  • Must be able to lift 70 pounds frequently, 3-5 time per hour, remove rolls and shafts from equipment and weigh and put on skid for an eight hour shift. 
  • Learn to set the slitter up to order specifications. 
  • Run slitter at maximum rate based on quality restrictions. 
  • Weigh and wrap all finished product from slitter. 
  • Weigh and wrap all finished product from the press department. 
  • Properly fill out all paperwork for slitter production. 
  • Do any required preventative maintenance.
  • Other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.

What you’ll need…

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Aptitude for working with machinery.
  • Basic math knowledge.
  • Solid foundation of basic mathematical concepts.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude.
  • Good, normal or corrected vision. Cannot be color blind.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Work with minimum supervision.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all personnel.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, proofs and spec sheets.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with fellow employees.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • A drive to succeed.
  • A can-do attitude.
  • A self-starter approach.

Our work environment & the physical demands of this position…

Physical working area is multi-shift, high speed packaging operations which may be noisy and very warm.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.  The employee frequently is required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to work safely around machinery and chemicals.
