Business Development Manager – Product Development Services Group
As part of its growth strategy, TouchSensor has established a new “Services Group" which will offer our customers a variety of stand-alone product development services including: Market Research, User-Interface Design, Industrial Design, Electronics Prototyping, and 3D / Large Scale Digital Printing.
The Business Development Manager for the Product Development Services Group is critical in helping TouchSensor grow by sourcing and onboarding new customers and expanding our offering to existing customers. During the sales process, the Business Development Manager will work directly with marketing, engineering, and manufacturing colleagues to provide the best solutions to our customers.
Identify companies that are potential clients for TouchSensor
Listen to client needs and determine TouchSensor’s ability to execute those needs
Develop and present customized information/presentations tailored to the specific target account
Close substantial sales opportunities
Negotiate quotes and statements of work in collaboration with legal counsel
Interact with multiple levels and functions within target account including marketing, engineering, design, operations, and purchasing.
Interact with internal constituencies including applications engineering, operations, and marketing to communicate and confirm feasibility and profitability of new business opportunity.
Assist in the execution of marketing activities including PR, social media and other events
Proven track record of selling in a “fee-for-service" engineering business environment
Both a technical and commercial mindset with at least a Bachelor’s degree
A deep understanding and passion for the technology and product development industry
Ability to juggle several opportunities across various geographies and markets while prioritizing according to company direction and vision
Experience working with product design and engineering teams
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Willingness to travel 50% of time to interface with customers throughout the U.S.
