Accurately set up and operate efficiently the slitters and inspection equipment.
Work in a safe manner, following all safety rules and procedures
Maintain 5S Standards
Train and develop skills needed for stand-alone press operations.
Other duties as assigned.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITITES:
Set up and operate at top efficiency any four slitters in any finishing area and any three inspection machines in any area. This is from a power down situation to putting a finished order on the dock and everything associated with completing an order.
Identify and troubleshoot process, product, and quality issues with help from other areas as needed.
Fill in as necessary on any machine that you are trained on with minimal notice and assistance.
Assist in on-the-job training of other employees on the machines that you are proficient on.
Utilize product specs from the AS 400 to prepare a high quality product for a safe, efficient production run.
Maintain proper written production, quality and inventory documentation.
Maintain production documentation in the AS400 system.
Maintain proper supply levels in your work area.
As needed, utilizing quality control procedures by follow documented instructions on testing procedures and processes vs. established standards.
Perform material handling duties, including use of a Big Joe type cart, a forklift and a hoist to complete your job.
General housekeeping duties: Using 5S, you must maintain neat and orderly work area, keep the equipment clean and maintain it to the established standards.
Ability to use common hand tools like a tape measure, hand wrench or scales.
Be willing to be involved in special Safety & Tool Box teams like, automation, in-lining, and MRD to make CFC safer & more efficient and prosperous.
Maintain attendance & vacation records and perform weekly online Dayforce log for payroll purposes.
Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to follow instructions (both written and verbal).
Ability to work safely in both a high ambient temperature and hazardous environment.
Ability to use common hand tools, tape measure and hand truck
Ability to operate equipment such as forklift, Crown stacker and hoists to retrieve and move bulk material.
Work with minimal supervision, independent or in a work cell.
