Job Description

Desktop Support Technician - Chatfield, MN

  • DIRECT-HIRE/full-time; An excellent opportunity for that new college grad looking to begin their career in the IT industry! 
  • This Desktop Support Technician role is to provide a single point of contact for end users to receive support and maintenance within the organization's desktop computing environment.
  • This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment (including but not limited to PC, terminals, printers and scanners) to ensure optimal workstation performance.
  • The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via remote access) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance where required. 
  • Hands-on experience with Windows 7, 10 and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Access databases (but not required/will train). 
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred but again, not a requirement. 
  • Salary range of $37,000 - $55,000 with an attractive benefits package.

  • Proven work experience as a Desktop Support Technician.
  • Hands on experience with Windows 7, 10 and Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals such as printers, scanners and mobile devices.
  • Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs.
  • Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions.
  • Excellent problem-solving, multitasking and communication skills.
  • Customer-oriented attitude.
  • Associates Degree in Management Information Systems or relevant field.
