What’s Hot: The creator of such hit television series The Practice and Boston Legal, which helped convert lawyers into flashy stars, David Kelly would be proud. Over 550,000 “Lawyers” average $124,750 and “Judges, Magistrate Judges, and Magistrates” rank second on the Best Paid List at $100,450 in the Legal group. Perry Mason would also be amazed that “Administrative Law Judges, Adjudicators, and Hearing Officers” average $80,870.

What’s Not:Law Clerks,” who’ve been known to research and write a lot of judicial opinion, are actually first on the Least Paid list at $40,580 as they await their recruitment to the top-paying law firms. “Title Examiners, Abstractors, and Searchers” are second on this list $42,090, and (unlike the Law Clerks) may be asking “where do we go from here?”
