Personal Care and Service - What's Hot

What’s Hot: Let’s just say this is an eclectic composition of service providers with Makeup Artists, Theatrical and Performance (a small group of 3,600) leading the way with a mean annual wage of $71,590 (a huge jump from $39,020 as recently as 2008). Next, up are Morticians, Undertakers, and Funeral Directors (at $54,700), The top two categories represent an interesting combination of occupations, with America’s high-rollers push Gaming Supervisors (at $50,810) in the third spot.

What’s Not: Many of those providing a personal touch face an inhospitable paycheck as Shampooers (at $20,960), Ushers, Lobby Attendants, and Ticket Takers at $21,740 and Amusement and Recreation Attendants ($22,000) are in the Least Paid list. And speaking of someone looking for a better draw, Gaming Dealers are the 3rd Least Paid at $21,990.
