Washington was a small village near the Ohio River, one of the first two settlements in the U.S. state of Kentucky. It has since been annexed by Maysville, Kentucky, and is sometimes referred to as Old Washington. Much of the old part of Washington remains as it did in the late 18th century, with many log cabins remaining. It was for a time a residence of Kentucky pioneer Spencer Records, and a home base for Captain Simon Kenton. (from wikipedia)
