Browerville is a city in Todd County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 735 at the 2000 census. The current mayor is Michael Aksamit (elected 2006). Two notable past-residents include author LaVyrle Spencer, sculptor Joseph Kiselewski, and Galynn Brady (nee Johnson). Brady, a graduate of Browerville High School, is the mother of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. Browerville was named after Jacob V. Brower (1844-1905), who was a prolific writer of the Upper Midwest region of the United States who championed the location and protection of the utmost headwaters of the Mississippi and Missouri rivers.
