LaMoure is a city in LaMoure County, North Dakota in the United States. The population was 944 at the 2000 census. LaMoure was founded in 1882. LaMoure was one of eight global transmission sites of the Omega Navigation System until its closure on September 30, 1997. The station is now used for VLF communication purposes of the US Navy.
