Garrison is a hamlet in Putnam County, New York. It is part of the town of Philipstown and is on the east side of the Hudson River, across from the United States Military Academy at West Point. The Garrison Metro-North Railroad station serves the town. Saint Basil's Academy in the town served as the finish line of The Amazing Race 10 in 2006. The film Hello Dolly starring Barbra Streisand was shot in Garrison during scenes placed in Yonkers. Garrison is home to many non-profit and cultural organizations. Manitoga is the site of Dragon Rock, designer Russel Wright's modern home, which was awarded National Historic Landmark status in 2006.
