It is located in the middle of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, which provides a source of tourism to the village. Blossom Music Center is located on its outskirts. It borders Hudson, Cuyahoga Falls, and Brecksville. It is part of Boston Township. Over 20 places in Peninsula are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Public schooling is provided by the Woodridge Local School District. Commerce in village includes two restaurants, several art galleries and antique stores.
