Wonewoc is a village in Juneau County, Wisconsin, United States, along the Baraboo River. The population was 834 at the 2000 census. The village is located within the Town of Wonewoc. This small village is located in the southern-most part of Juneau County. Geographically Wonewoc is located in an unglaciated region of Wisconsin. The resulting landscape is filled with jagged bluffs and the scenic Baraboo River runs alongside the town. The Wonewoc Formation was first described here and named for the village. (from wikipedia)
