The main route to La Grange is Highway 99 and east on junction 16. La Grange is the only incorporated town in Stanislaus County that has a mayor elect, Nelson Pettitt Esq. local attorney. La Grange takes it name from Norman La Grange a farmer from southern California who traveled to Stanislaus County in 1929 who in search of fertile soil for farming his own crop then selling it.
