Bonneville County is a county located in the U.S. state of Idaho. It was established in 1911. As of the 2000 Census the county had a population of 82,522 (2005 estimate: 91,856) . The county seat is Idaho Falls. Bonneville County is named after Benjamin Louis Eulalie de Bonneville (1796–1878), a French-born officer in the United States Army, fur trapper, and explorer in the American West. Bonneville is noted for his expeditions to the Oregon Country and the Great Basin. Bonneville County is part of the Idaho Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area. (from wikipedia)
