Warren County is a county located in the U.S. state of Missouri. Warren County is part of the St. Louis Metro Area and west of the city. As of 2006, the population was 29,685. Its county seat is Warrenton. The county was organized in 1833 and named for Gen. Joseph Warren, who died in the Battle of Bunker Hill. Because so many wineries are located along Rte. 94, it is called the Missouri Weinstrasse from Marthasville into St. Charles County. This is part of the Missouri Rhineland, with award-winning wineries located on both sides of the Missouri River. (from wikipedia)
