Cullman County is a county of the U.S. state of Alabama. Its name is in honor of Colonel John G. Cullmann. As of 2000, the population was 77,483. Its county seat is of the same name, Cullman. It is a "prohibition county," or dry county. Cullman is served by TV stations from both Huntsville and Birmingham, moreso from Birmingham.
