Chambers County is a county located in the U.S. state of Texas within the Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown Metropolitan Area. In 2000 U.S. Census, its population was 26,031. As of the 2007, Census estimated that the county has a population of 28,771. It is named for Thomas Jefferson Chambers, an early lawyer in Texas. The seat of the county is Anahuac.
