Polk County is a county located in the U.S. state of Texas. As of 2000, the population was 41,133. Its county seat is Livingston. Polk County is named for James Knox Polk, the eleventh president of the United States. The Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation is in Eastern Polk County.
